    On the occasion of the Festival of Science, the Museum of Cutlery presents its temporary exhibitions.

    In partnership with local businesses, the Museum of Cutlery offers an exhibition around know-how and contemporary productions.

    Around the exhibition "Professional Excellence: Best Workers of France in the Nogentan Cutler Basin", the Museum of Cutlery offers another look at the MOF (Best Worker of France) and the MAF (Best Apprentices of France) in partnership with Éts Oury-Guyé & Fils (Nogent). Complementary to the temporary exhibition, this small exhibition presents the pieces of four other winners with MOF titles in Haute-Marne (class instruments of surgery). If this competition rewards professional excellence, the MAF competition aims to detect young talents with real professional skills and to allow them a better integration into the professional world; Four MAF titled winners, trained at the Oury-Guyé & Fils company, are also honored.

    In the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, Nogent and its cutler basin are the main centers for making scissors and knives.
